About Pattie
I moved to this current garden in a leafy suburb three years ago, and have divided it into bite-sized pieces. There's a lovely long terrace that stretches along the back of the house, which gives me space for playing about with containers on tiered plant stands.
Succulents are favourite. I've made a small kitchen plot from four raised beds centred around an olive tree and focus on growing veg that look as good as they taste, with the odd zinnia thrown in. I've also started a gravel garden, scattered with tough native Mediterranean plants, that is a thrilling work in progress. Then there is the front garden, a tiny prairie patch full of swishy grasses and floaty perennials.
Low-maintenance? I don't know the meaning of the word, but I do have a lot of fun out there - and hope you will, too, reading about my exploits and experiments and, ideally, sharing experiences and swapping advice. We gardeners can never know it all, but we have such a good time learning.

In your Plant Smart article 7 April 2010 - you featured a picture with the lavenders - could you tell me where I can find the chair/recliner in the photograph?
Many thanks.

Hi Patti - we would love to work with you as we look after Kate Gould now but we can't get through to you. What would be your best email to contact you? Best wishes - Wendy x
